Overseas Property for Sale
Jargon Buster
Off plan: Buying a property before it is built.
Capital Appreciation: How much the property is likely to increase in value over the course of 12 months.
Rental yields: The percent of the property values you are going to get in rental income per year from the property.
Guaranteed Rental Income: There is an amount of income that is guaranteed per year. Make sure you enquire who is guaranteeing the rental income, for how long and if there a contract in place.
Emerging market: Countries where the property market is in its infancy – usually no mortgages would be available, roads and infrastructure would not be the best. Not easy to get there (no cheap airlines yet). Possibly waiting for entry into the Euro Zone.
ROI: Return on Investment
